I thought Fall was my favorite time of year... but, it might be a big fat tie... with December! Oh man, there is something about December.
Christmas + My birthday + My Husband's birthday + New Years = family, friends, parties, decorations, crafty and thoughtful gift giving, snuggling, candlelight, fires, and fooooooddddd.
So far I have decorated both mantles, two trees, strung lights around the inside of the house, and added a little Holiday cheer to every room in the house. I made gifts, attended a family Holiday party, bought more decorations, made some decorations, and baked pies already. Starting in mid-NOVEMBER.
What? I know. We were leaving for vacation the following weekend and wanted to return after Thanksgiving to Christmassy charm. So we started early, and it felt great. We also listened to holiday music most of the way to South Dakota and most of the way to the U.P. and most of the way hoooommme-sweet-home. Glorious.
I know I owe pictures of the house, and they really are coming -- I keep hoping that I'll have time to finish more projects before I take/post them. But who am I kidding? We have been here for 6+ months now and we have only accomplished 1/100th of what I wanted to have done by now.
Buuuuttt -- Good news!
I have ZERO vacations/weekends away planned for the next few months. NONE. I'm not going anywhere. I am burnt out and we are staying home.... to rack up more vacation days so we can do it all again next year. HAHA. We're crazy.
So, I have little to no excuses now to not get some projects done and post some freakin pictures already.
